What is a bobeche?

Usually, a glass ring at the top of a candlestick holder that catches melted wax drips from taper candles. The hole in the middle slips over the taper and rests on the lip of the candlestick.

Often decorative and handmade, bobeches are available in etched, curved, plain, and patterned designs, add elegance to the table settings. Easy to clean and reusable.
