Terrier Racing

Like other lure coursing events, Terrier Racing or Terrier Hurdle Racing is dog sport in which dogs of the terrier breeds sprint from a starting trap in pursuit of a lure. The dog that makes it to the finish, often a narrow opening in a stack of hay bales, is the winner.

Jack Russell Terrier Club of America sanctions trials for its breed leading up to a National Trial each year in October. In Britain, the United Kennel Club sponsors a Terrier Race Program open to many breeds of terriers and Drag Racing for all UKC registered pure bred dogs.
