Williamsburg Farmers Market in Virginia concluded its 2009 season on Saturday. Three Holiday Markets have been scheduled as follows:
Saturday, November 21 8:30 - 12:30
Saturday, November 28 8:30 - 12:30
Saturday, December 12 8:30 - 12:30
The market is held in Merchants Square on Duke of Gloucester Street between Henry and Boundary Streets in downtown Williamsburg.

Virginia: Upper King Street Fresh Farmers’ Market

The 2009 Upper King Street Fresh Farmers’ Market has been set for June 3 and through October 28 by the Upper King Street Neighborhood Association together and the City of Alexandria.
The Wednesday market at King Street Gardens Park (1806 King Street) runs from 3-7 pm.

The Richmond, Virginia, area is getting yet another farmers’ market. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that the Henrico Board of Supervisors have approved the twice-weekly West End Farmers’ Market to operate this year at the Gayton Centre Shopping Center at Gayton Road and Ridgefield Parkway:

North Richmond News reports that Lakeside Farmers’ Market in Richmond, Virginia, has submitted concept drawings for a permanent structure to the Henrico County Planning Department.
If all goes well, construction on the structure will start this year. The Henrico Planning Department is currently taking public comments from the Northside Henrico and City of Richmond community.
